Hole 3 and 12

The tee boxes at the first par 3 are situated close to the Swan River, providing players with a wonderful view towards Perth city. Although a short hole requiring a 7 or 8 iron for most players, it plays deceptively difficult. A very shallow green is protected by deep bunkers front left and right.

Front pin placements behind either bunker provide the greatest challenge, with a high-lofted tee shot the only way to ensure a short birdie putt. A well-struck tee shot and a friendly pin placement can offer a birdie chance, but a par will never hurt any scorecard here.
